XML Gateway™
Our flagship XML Gateway product was produced to fill a gap in the Remedy ecosystem for a high-quality reliable J2EE XML platform, and is the foundation for many successful integration projects. The product soon grew beyond the AR System into a generic messaging hub capable of sourcing data from any SQL database through XML based instructions.

The XML Gateway is a lightweight middleware component written to provide a solution to the ever-expanding integration requirements of the BMC Remedy platform.

The gateway is typically use to submit and retrieve data from the AR System (whether it is ITSM or CMDB related), but as a fully-flexible tool it is able to adapt to any integration requirement through its modern Java EE design.

Bi-directional integration between BMC Remedy (AR System) and any third party system through XML:
  • receives XML messages and can perform multiple transactions against ARS;
  • creates XML messages and can send to one or more third party systems;
  • provides and interprets XML responses.

Pure Java J2EE design coupled to AR System through the ARS APIs:

  • one solution, not multiple modules bolted onto ARS. If ARS fails, the product carries on running;
  • runs in any modern Java Servlet container (Weblogic, Tomcat, Websphere, Jboss, etc.);
  • absolutely no additional workflow needs to be installed to configure and maintain the gateway.

SSO Plugin: single sign-on for the BMC Remedy Midtier platform
The Java System Solutions SSO Plugin solution provides a generic single sign-on (SSO) solution for the BMC Remedy Midtier platform.

SSO Plugin architecture

LDAP/Active Directory Integration

Where a user is already properly identified to the corporate computer network or extranet, it is frustrating for the Remedy system to make the user identify themselves all over again. SSO Plugin aims to ‘pick up’ the existing user identification and automatically identify the user to the Remedy system so that the user doesn't have to go through the process manually: on clicking the appropriate logo, the user will find they are ‘signed on’ to Remedy.

SSO Plugin complements an existing SSO system (such as ClearTrust or SiteMinder), and supports Integrated Windows Authentication, allowing Windows domain users to be transparently signed-onto Remedy systems through their standard workstation login.

Single sign-on solutions implemented with SSO Plugin are in production and trial in companies around the world.
